WHO WE ARE
The Wicked Wings Club is an active group of recreational pilots from Para & Hang glider disciplines. We love nothing better than to spend the day flying with fellow pilots around the ridges, we might even hook the odd thermal and indulge in a little cross country jaunt. At the end of the day there is always time for some post flight bragging and a few refreshments at the landing zone. Ahhh those summer days.....
Club History
The Toowoomba and District Para/Hang Gliding Club was formed in March 2005 by a few keen Para glider pilots as a vehicle to attract interested local pilots into a structured organisation. It gave pilots a point of contact for flying, an administrative body to negotiate with landowners, and a social focus. Our membership has grown steadily, adding a few new members each year, mostly due to a nucleus of committed pilots who are always on site, always promoting the sport.
Club Sites
Our sites cover almost all wind directions and most have vehicle access to the launch point. Our members have put in many hours work to clear the launches and make them take off friendly for both Para and Hang Gliders.
